Studio Snapshot – 24th April 2026

Popular Colours This Week

A lovely shift into softer, lighter tones this week. Pastel shades have been everywhere, bringing a fresh spring feel back to the nail desk after a mix of deeper tones over the past few weeks.

Nail Art Trends

Delicate, detailed designs have stood out this week in the studio. Soft blossom, shells and subtle fruit designs have been popular, alongside minimal cuticle dots and fine line details. Everything has felt light, refined and very wearable.

News from the Studio

A really busy week back after some time off, with a good mix of holiday nails, a builder gel course, a bridal trial and regular clients. I have also finally managed to restock some of the builder gels from TWENTY after they had been out of stock for a while. Alongside that, I have ordered a selection of new cat eye colours, as they continue to be so popular. I have tried to choose a range that offers something for everyone, from soft, subtle glow through to more eye catching colour shifts.

Appointment and Course Bookings

Bookings for regular clients and training courses are open up until the end of June for now. There are school holidays in July and August and I will be taking some time off with the kids, but dates are not confirmed yet. Appointments beyond June will be released once I have those plans in place.

Nail Desk Chat

Lots of talk this week about summer plans, upcoming holidays and spring fashion. It definitely feels like everyone is ready for a change in season.

We also got onto TV recommendations, with a few clients telling me to watch Euphoria, and a shared disappointment that Schitt’s Creek is leaving Netflix. The usual “what are you watching?” conversations that somehow always end up adding more to the watch list.

Nails I Wanted to Steal This Week

A London Marathon set for a new client stood out this week, something I don’t think I have done before. We created a layered glowy pink base to match my client’s running top and added subtle go-faster stripes for a fun, personal detail. I also loved painting some bright, fun holiday nails for regular clients, even if it did make me slightly jealous that I am staying at home!
