Studio Snapshot – 22nd May 2026
Popular Colours This Week
Nude bases have been especially popular this week, particularly “Nue” builder gel from TWENTY. Clients have been keeping things quite soft and wearable, then adding subtle details over the top such as cuticle dots and encapsulated shapes for a little extra interest.
Nail Art Trends
Cat eye nails are still going strong, both worn alone for a soft glow effect or layered with nail art on top. I have also added some new cat eye shades to the collection recently, which clients have been enjoying trying out.
News from the Studio
Everyone has been enjoying the new slideshow playing in the studio while getting their nails done, especially trying to spot their own hands appearing on screen. It has actually been really lovely looking back through older sets and seeing all of the different designs that I’ve created over the years.
Appointment and Course Bookings
There are still a few random appointment spaces left in May if you still need booked in, although June is filling up quickly now. July and August availability will be released soon.
Training courses are available to book directly through the website, or feel free to send me a message or email if you would like to arrange a call to discuss your training needs and plan your courses.
Nail Desk Chat
The sudden warmer weather definitely shifted the salon chat this week towards holidays, summer plans and everyone deciding what they need for trips away.
There was also lots of TV discussion, from Eurovision opinions to Netflix recommendations. I feel like every client this week added something new to my watch list, and several people were already talking about Celebrity Traitors.
Nails I Wanted to Steal This Week
A set of fun red cat eye ladybird nails completely stood out this week for my client heading to London with her friends. Such a cute design and proof that fun nail art looks can be so effective on short nails.
