It’s been a busy and varied week in the studio - from elopement bridal nails to builder gel transformations, and plenty of chat about holidays, weddings, and of course … the Scottish weather! Let’s take a look at what’s been happening at the nail desk this week.
Popular Colours This Week: Soft, sheer, nude shades have been having a moment. “I Do”, a light, peachy nude shade of gel polish and “Nue” a warm toned milky shade of build and boost both by Twenty have been the most popular choices.
Nail Art Trends: Delicate floral details and chrome finishes have topped the requests, creating soft, elegant looks that feel perfect for this time of year. Minimal, chic, and just a little bit glam.
News From the Studio: I had the pleasure of doing nails for a bride eloping to get married at Monachyle Mhor - such a beautiful Scottish wedding venue. I’ve also seen a few wedding guests this week getting pampered ahead of upcoming celebrations. Two of my lovely regular clients have been making amazing progress growing their natural nails, supported by builder gel from Twenty. Behind the scenes, I’ve been working away on new course content, including an exciting new nail art course - more details coming soon!
Appointment Bookings: Only one training course date left for June before we break for the school holidays. If you’ve been thinking of starting your training, now’s the time! Studio appointments for summer are also filling up fast - especially around weddings and holidays - so regular clients, please get in touch early to book your next visits.
Nail Desk Chat: Plenty of chat this week about the sudden change in weather - did we blink and miss summer? There’s lots of talk about new local shops opening up and the Netflix show Sirens - I haven’t watched it yet, but I feel like I’ve already seen the whole thing thanks to the detailed recaps at the nail desk!
Nails I Wanted to Steal This Week: The week started strong with a stunning set featuring a sunset chrome over “Grace” build and boost - I’m tempted to recreate something similar for myself soon.
