Art-Inspired Nails for an IKEA Textile Exhibition At Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh
This bold, creative set was inspired by a special project - my client had been installing a new IKEA textile exhibition at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh. While working on the setup, one particular piece caught her eye: “JACK” by Brigitta Hahn. She brought the concept to her appointment, and we translated the pattern into a unique, hand-painted nail design that reflects the colours, rhythm, and visual energy of the original textile. It’s always such a joy to have a creative brief like this and turn it into wearable art.
Created using Kokoist Japanese gel, this set is a great example of how nails can become a personal expression of the work you do, the art you love, and the moments that matter.
