Studio Snapshot – 15 August 2025

Popular Colours This Week

Soft, wearable pastel shades have continued to be the top choice - perfect as we ease towards the end of summer.

Nail Art Trends

Blooming gel is still going strong, adding a soft, watercolour effect to floral and abstract designs. I also created a set of gender reveal nails and welcomed a new client starting a natural nail growth journey with a Japanese manicure - always exciting to help someone care for their nails from the very beginning. Remember that the Japanese manicure is a great option for those who can’t have gel on their nails for work etc or those just prefer a natural, healthy nail. Get in touch to book yours now,

News from the Studio

I had a student in this week completing her E-file Training Course - a great reminder of how many options and additions there are in nail education, whether you’re just starting out or adding to your skills.

Appointment Bookings

If you’re hoping to book in for a manicure or gel nails, make sure you’re following on Instagram for the latest availability. Any last-minute spaces are shared on stories first.

Nail Desk Chat

We’ve been chatting about generational differences this week - Gen Z vs Millennials when it comes to communication, values, aspirations, and work life. Fascinating to hear different perspectives.

People are also loving the Live, Laugh, Luke… podcast from Luke Hamnett - and yes, Jan is definitely the favourite!

Also, now that the kids are back to school, I’m looking forward to getting back into a normal studio routine!

Nails I Wanted to Steal This Week

A soft pink and lemon set with blooming gel flowers and gold details totally stole my heart - not my usual go-to colours, but these were bright, cute, and full of end-of-summer energy.
