A shorter working week for me this week due to (more!) school holidays but still managed to pack in plenty of cute nail designs!

Popular colours this week: Brighter and pastel shades have been the top choice this week. Clients have been loving Kokoist x Nail Thoughts “Lemon Drops,” “Isla Vista,” “Lavender Milk Bath,” “Bubblegum,” and “Rose Quartz.” There’s also been a bit of shimmer making a comeback - “Bed All Day” (one of my favourites) and “Frosted” have been adding that subtle glow.

Nail art trends: Cute mini florals have been the number one request! Think tiny tulips, delicate blossoms, and daisy accents that feel fresh and summery without being too bold. They’re the perfect finishing touch for spring and holiday-ready nails.

News from the Studio: With the warmer weather, it’s been lovely working with the door open and the sunshine streaming in. A few clients have been in this week for holiday nails, which is your reminder to check out my latest blog post:

-full of tips for keeping your gel looking fresh while you’re away.

Appointment bookings: May is just about full! There’s one wee space left on Wednesday 21st at 9.30am - if you’ve been meaning to book, get in touch quickly to snap it up. Otherwise, keep an eye on my Instagram stories for any cancellations.

Nail desk chat: One of my lovely clients introduced me to the type A / type B mum trend this week - and naturally, I thought I was type A. After a quick social media deep dive… turns out I’m type C. (It’s the water bottles that gave me away!) Also, apparently I’m the only person who still hasn’t watched White Lotus, so that’s now on my must-watch list. Anyone else late to that party?

Nails I wanted to steal this week: This one has to go to a Kokoist “Bed All Day” set - such a glowy lilac, paired with hand-painted pink tulip accent nails. Floral nails are always a favourite of mine, and this combo was just so pretty. I definitely had nail envy.
