Popular Colours This Week

We are finally starting to see the shift into lighter spring shades. Soft greens, fresh neutrals and brighter tones are making their way back onto the nail desk. “Luxe” builder gel from Twenty continues to be popular for a second week running. It is one of those shades that works beautifully on its own or as a base for nail art.

Nail Art Trends

It has been a lovely mix this week. Cat eye finishes and syrup gels are still having their moment, while a fun Jupiter-inspired abstract set brought something a little different to the studio. Colour blocking made an appearance alongside classic cuticle dots and timeless French manicures. Clients seem to be experimenting a little more again, but still keeping everything wearable and refined.

News from the Studio

It has been a busy week catching up with regular clients, which I always enjoy. There has also been a noticeable influx of training course enquiries. Some recent industry drama surrounding a particular brand, not one that I use or teach with, appears to have encouraged people to look for alternative training and conversion options. If you have emailed or messaged this week, you should have received a reply by the end of the day as I am catching up on admin and if it’s something you’re thinking about feel free to drop me a message, I’d love to help you. Appointment Bookings

Bookings for regular clients are now open for March and April. Please remember there are school holidays in April and I will be taking some time off with the kids. Availability will therefore be slightly reduced, so it is first come, first served for regular clients.

Nail Desk Chat

This week’s nail desk chat has provided so many product recommendations! from M&S shortbread tea to Gem hair mist and their skin-loving deodorant, L’Oréal Lumi Glotion and Drunk Elephant bronzing drops. There has also been plenty of discussion around the wider nail industry dramas circulating on social media. Thankfully, I feel very far removed from it all and quietly focused on my own clients and students here in the studio.

Nails I Wanted to Steal This Week

A spring green set using Kokoist x Nail Thoughts really stood out. A different shade on each hand looked so fresh and perfectly seasonal. It also coordinated beautifully with my client’s enviable ring collection, which made the whole look feel personalised and elevated.
